Ribbon-Cutting Opens CBP New Facility

Tucson, Dec 4, 2020 – The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Tucson International Airport (TUS) on Friday, December 4, 2020 to celebrate the newly renovated executive terminal for Customs & Border Protection (CBP). Attending the event were Executives from TUS, TAA and high-ranking representative’s from CBP.

“The remodel and infrastructure of these facilities are crucial to our economic recovery and the future,” said Armando Goncalvez, Assistant Director for Trade for the Tucson Field Office Customs & Border Protection. The $1.8 million project includes a new interior store front, new ballistic grade walls, ceilings, flooring, paint and security fencing.

“We finished the project on budget and we’re very pleased with the outcome,” said Danette Bewley, TAA President/CEO. Construction: Canyon Building & Design.
